Help us Stop the Insanity!
At Academic Ladder we are on a crusade to bring light to the dark halls of academia and to stop the suffering for all those grad students and professors who have never heard about Academic Ladder. We need your help and we are willing to pay for your help!
Enter these 3 raffles for 3 chances to win a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate!
1.) The “Tell-a-Friend” Raffle
Go here and enter the name of anyone who you think would like to visit our website and have light shine on their dull corner of academia. You will receive a raffle entry for each person you refer. Every 50 entries will be entered in a draw for a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate!
2.) The Listserv Raffle
Send this link to our homepage to your academic listerv, perhaps with the words “An interesting site,” (and any glowing praise you care to add), and you will be entered in the Listerv Raffle. I will award a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate once for every *25* people who send me an email to tell me they have done this. So your odds are even better than with the “Tell-a-Friend” Raffle.
3.) The “The Too Much Caffeine” Raffle
Do you write in a coffeeshop? While you’re waiting on line to order your latte, do you ever notice the bulletin board? Print out this flyer (I think you’ll like it), and hang it on the bulletin board of your local coffee shop (or anywhere else you think grad students and professors hang out), and you will be entered in the “Too Much Caffeine” raffle for a $50 gift certificate from Amazon.com.
The bulletin board of your department would be another smart place to hang the flyer. If you hang it in more than one place, you will get an entry in the raffle for each place you hang it.
Again, I will award a $50 Amazon.com gift certificate once for every *25* people who send me an email to tell me they have done this (also tell me where the flyer is hanging.)
The winners for all raffles will be selected on September 10 at 12 noon Eastern Standard Time. (The date has been changed from the previous announcement because of the newsletter mixup – but we still have the names of those who have already entered.)
Our goal is to sign up 1000 people for our newsletter by the end of December. That will bring us so much closer to changing the academic environment that makes graduate students and professors feel they are losing their marbles.
Thank you for your help. Let’s all make academia a less bizarre and stressful place to work!
